Passenger transport goes down, cargo transport increases in 2015

A total of 88.8 million passengers, including refugees, were transported in Croatia in 2015, which is 2.2% less than in 2014, while cargo transport increased 2.2% to 106.5 million tonnes, show data from the national statistical office.

The number of passengers in rail and road transport dropped by 1.1% and 3.5% respectively, to 21.7 and 52.1 million, while the number of passengers in air transport increased by 3.1% to 1.9 million and the number of passengers transported by ship grew 0.4% to 13.1 million.
