Orsat Miljenic submits bid for SDP leadership

Former justice minister Orsat Miljenic on Tuesday submitted his bid for the leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), saying that during the campaign he would talk to as many party members as possible to present his platform.

"More importantly, we need to hear what our members feel that the SDP needs right now. It will be a process during which we will get to know each other and define things," Miljenic told reporters at SDP headquarters.

Miljenic said that his campaign would be "absolutely affirmative". He noted that he would not run for any other position in the party.

Miljenic submitted his bid in the company of his campaign manager, former finance minister Boris Lalovac.
