Oreskovic requests meeting with President

President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Friday afternoon received Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic in her office at his request.

The President's Office confirmed to Hina that the Prime Minister had requested a meeting with the President and that it was scheduled for late Friday afternoon.

The Prime Minister left the government headquarters a little before 5 pm after holding a press conference at which he said that he would not step down as demanded by Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader and Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Karamarko because, he said, it would mean that he was admitting being at fault.

Oreskovic said that he would defend himself from what he described as false accusations before deputies in the parliament.
