Only 2 bids received for 25 state-owned properties put up for sale

Only two bids have been received for a total of 25 state-owned properties that the State Property Management Office (DUUDI) put up for sale, DUUDI reported on Wednesday.

The two bids received are for a property in the central coastal town of Bibinje and for the most expensive property advertised, a villa in Volosko, near the northern coastal city of Rijeka.

The tender calling for bids for the sale of 25 state-owned properties, mostly arable land, orchards and fields, was advertised on April 26 and ran until June 28.

An amount of HRK 170,900 was bid for the property in Bibinje, which is a little more than the starting price of HRK 170,400.

The bid for the Volosko villa with a garden and forest land amounted to 20.3 million kuna, which is one million kuna more than the starting price.

"The bidding commission has determined that both bids are valid and will recommend that they be accepted," DUUDI reported.
