Number of persons employed continues to fall

There were 1.319 million persons employed in Croatia in November, down 0.7 percent on the month, the national statistical office said on Wednesday.

Since August, after the usual employment growth ahead of and during the tourism season, the number of persons employed has been decreasing.

At the end of November, 284,657 persons were registered with the Croatian Employment Service, up 3.2% on the month. The registered unemployment rate increased from 17.2 to 17.7%.
