Number of building permits issued in July up 16.6% y-o-y

A total of 555 building permits were issued in Croatia in July 2016, which was an increase of 16.6% compared with July 2015, according to figures from the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS).

Broken down by type of construction, 483 permits (87%) were issued for buildings and 72 (13%) for other structures. By type of work, 367 permits (66%) were issued for newbuilds and 188 (34%) for reconstruction, conversion or renovation.

The total value of work covered by the permits is HRK 1.39 billion.

The number of building permits issued in the year to July 2016 was 4,179, up 21.9% over the same period in 2015. The total value of work covered by the permits issued in this period was HRK 10.1 billion.
