New swimming pool complex opened in Zagreb

Mayor Milan Bandic formally opened a newly-built swimming pool complex at the Svetice Sports and Recreation Centre in east Zagreb on Monday.

The project took seven years to complete and cost 133 million kuna (17 million euros), Bandic said at the opening ceremony, adding that a similar complex would also be built in west Zagreb.

The complex includes an Olympic-size swimming pool and two smaller pools, as well as various other sports amenities, saunas, a solarium and a gym.
