NATO Military Committee conference opens in Split

A conference of NATO's Military Committee, the alliance's highest military authority, was opened in the Croatian coastal city of Split on Friday evening and over the next three days participants will discuss the global security situation.

This is the first time that a NATO conference at this level is being held in Croatia.
