Mirko Raskovic resigns as deputy Sibenik-Knin County head to become MP

Mirko Raskovic resigned as deputy head of Sibenik-Knin County on Wednesday because his office of deputy county head is incompatible with that of member of Parliament, the county head's office said.

Raskovic was elected a member of Parliament on the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) slate, but has in the meantime left the party.

A new election will be called for a representative of the Serb minority in the county executive, Sibenik-Knin County head Goran Pauk said.

The SDSS says that the parliamentary seat of Mirko Raskovic, who resigned membership of the party on Monday, belongs to the SDSS.
