Minister says protesters' tent relocated to Vukovar temporarily

War Veterans' Affairs Minister Tomo Medved said in Borovo on Monday there were no disputes about the tent in which a group of disgruntled veterans protested for 555 days outside the Veterans Ministry in Zagreb and which was transported to Vukovar after it had been recently dismantled upon the end of the sit-in rally.

"The tent is in Vukovar's Homeland War Memorial Centre temporarily. Veterans' association will soon talk about the tent's future. There are no problems or tensions... We will find a solution soon," Medved said.

The tent that stood in front of the ministry for 555 days was transported last week to Vukovar, despite disapproval of Vukovar veterans and town authorities. After it was brought to Vukovar, the tent was set up on the grounds of the Homeland Memorial Centre.
