Minister says police director-general isn't dismissed

Interior Minister Vlaho Orepic on Wednesday refuted media speculations about the replacement of the police director-general Vlado Dominic, explaining that he had talked with Dominic, but "at this moment there are no changes".

"Dominic was not relieved of his duty," the minister told reporters in the parliament after inquiries about such speculations.

"I talked with Dominc about current affairs. We do our jobs, there are no changes at this moment," Orepic said declining to comment on the statement by Deputy Prime Minister and HDZ leader Tomislav Karamarko that he thought that Dominic had been replaced.
