Lorencin: PM-Designate hasn't contacted me, IDS to decide on support to new gov't

Outgoing Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin of the Istrian Democratic Party (IDS) said on Thursday that Prime Minister-Designate Tihomir Oreskovic had not contacted him and that his possible support to the new government would depend on a broader context and future developments, namely a decision by the IDS.

"Mr Oreskovic has not contacted me and there have been no talks with him yet. I have known him from the time when I was Assistant Minister in charge of investments at the Economy Ministry and he was chairman of the Pliva Management Board. At the time Pliva realised four projects and I had excellent cooperation with him," Lorencin told a news conference.

He added that he met Oreskovic in his capacity as PM-Designate only at the inaugural session of the parliament last week.
