Kujundzic: I'm returning to HDZ; Kosor: No one has contacted me

The leader of the Croatian Dawn party, Milan Kujundzic, who had left the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) when Tomislav Karamarko took the helm of the party, said on Monday that he was returning to the HDZ, while another former member and former prime minister Jadranka Kosor said that no one from the HDZ had contacted her.

Media has speculated that the HDZ's new leader Andrej Plenkovic will invite former members such as Kujundzic, Drago Prgomet and Jadranka Kosor to return to the party. Kosor told Hina that no one had contacted her yet in that regard.

"The party's court of honour made this decision today following my request of a few days ago to be reinstated to the party," Kujundzic told Hina.

Media noted that the court of honour unanimously made a decision that Kujundzic and the HDZ's former deputy leader Drago Prgomet, who is currently the leader of the HRID party, return to their former party.

"A country that is sinking like Croatia is, is looking for solutions. The solutions lie in new people at the head of the party, people of dialogue," Kujundzic said, adding that the aim was to attract people who had not been compromised and eventually win at the coming election.
