Karamarko says will discuss Pusic's candidacy for U.N. secretary general position

The president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Tomislav Karamarko, said on Sunday the new government would discuss the candidacy of outgoing Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic for the position of U.N. Secretary General , adding that so far the procedure when it comes to Pusic's candidacy had not been respected.

"We will talk about it. I believe that the procedure has not been respected and owing to the outgoing government Croatia has embarrassed itself properly," Karamarko told the press.

Speaking about Croatia's poor demographic picture, Karamarko reiterated he would absolutely advocate the realisation of part of the Patriotic Coalition's election platform under which EUR 1,000 of support would be given to the parents every new born child.
