Karamarko: If Crnoja did something wrong, he will be punished

First Deputy Prime Minister and Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) president Tomislav Karamarko said on Tuesday that he would talk to War Veterans Minister Mijo Crnoja about media reports that he reported a false place of residence and that, if he had done something wrong, he would certainly be punished.

"I don't know the details. I'll talk to Mr Crnoja. I see that issues are being created where perhaps they shouldn't. If he did something wrong, that will certainly be punished. If he didn't, it wont," Karamarko told reporters when asked to comment on the media reports.

"Let's deal with veterans' real problems which he is tasked to start solving. Those are huge problems. We have a huge number of veterans who are disgruntled. There's another side to Crnoja's story - his war path, his honourable conduct in the Homeland War and influence among veterans," Karamarko said.
