HZZ: 232,327 jobless at end of May

At the end of May there were 232,327 people registered as unemployed, which is 22,264 or 8.7% fewer jobless than in April. May was the fourth consecutive month to see a monthly decrease in the number of the jobless, show figures released by the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ) on Friday .

Compared to May last year, this was a decrease of 15.6% or 43,054 jobless on the year.

Unemployment is continuing to decrease in June and daily figures released by the HZZ indicate that currently 224,238 persons are registered as unemployed, which is 8,089 fewer jobless persons than at the end of May.

There are currently 17,583 vacancies advertised by the HZZ.
