HDZ, SDP have until Monday to take official positions on Bridge's proposals

After negotiations with the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) during which clear guidelines for the necessary reforms were presented, the Bridge party now expects them to submit their official positions on each proposal in writing by Monday, Bridge said in a press release on Friday.

During the negotiations, Bridge met with a series of experts to draw up good reform proposals and, despite unprecedented pressure and constant questioning of its credibility, the party has kept its promise to voters and continues to insist on changes that are necessary for Croatia's recovery, the press release said.

"We are fully aware of the difficulty of the process we have launched and which questions the years-long practice of governance which was not focused on Croatia's well-being but particular interests. We have done our part of the job, presenting the platform and the reforms and now it's up to the HDZ and the SDP. We are waiting for their official positions in writing. After getting feedback from the SDP and the HDZ, there will be steps of which we will inform the public," said Bridge leader Bozo Petrov.
