The government on Wednesday sent to lawmakers a report on the performance of the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor and a report on the state of affairs in the judicial system, but the Tihomir Oreskovic cabinet hasn't explicitly declared whether it endorses or not those reports.
During today's meeting at which First Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Karamarko was absent citing family reasons, the government put forward draft amendments to the law on mandatory health insurance and to the law on healthcare.
The proposed amendments envisage a rise in the maximum amount for participation in hospital treatment for patients not covered by additional health insurance from 2,000 to 3,000.
The changes also provide for the payment of 150 kuna for patients who insist on being examined in emergency departments although their condition does not require urgent check-ups.
Health Minister Dario Nakic said this move would be made in order to facilitate immediate assistance to those who are in a life-threatening condition.
