Gov't to provide funds for storm-hit Osijek hospital

Finance Minister Zdravko Maric in the caretaker government said on Wednesday that the necessary funds from the state budgets would be allotted to offset damage inflicted on the Osijek hospital during a recent summer storm.

On 27 June, the storm worked havoc on the hospital, notably on the pediatric ward, and damage has been estimated at over 5 million kuna.

"A large part of this amount can be covered by insurance, and a part not under the insurance protection will be covered budgetary means," the minister said at the start of the meeting of the Oreskovic cabinet.
