Gov't okays loan agreement between HAC, EBRD

The government on Thursday gave its consent for the signing of a loan agreement between the the Hrvatske Autoceste (HAC) motorway operator and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), earmarked for an HAC restructuring project worth EUR 250 million, given that HAC cannot cover the costs of its current loans on its own.

On 29 February, HAC's total debt amounted to EUR 3.1 billion, while the EUR 466 million capital amount and EUR 124 million of interest rates matures this year, Maritime, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Oleg Butkovic said at a government session.
