EUR 23.75 mln of EU funds allocated for Rijeka University campus

An agreement on the allocation of non-repayable funds in the amount of 178.6 million kuna, intended for the construction of dormitories at the Rijeka University campus, was signed by EU Funds Minister Tomislav Tolusic, Rijeka University Rector Pero Lucin and Central Finance and Contracting Agency director Tomislav Petric in Rijeka on Thursday.

The 178.6 million kuna has been be withdrawn from the European Regional Development Fund.

The means will be used for the construction of three dormitories with 754 beds, and the construction is due to be finished in mid-June.

The new dormitories are to open their doors first to participants in the European University Games that will take place in Rijeka and Zagreb in July.
