Davor Bernardic submits bid for SDP leadership

The president of the Zagreb branch of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Davor Bernardic, on Tuesday submitted his bid for the SDP leadership, saying he was submitting his candidacy with the support of a majority of SDP members and a conviction that he would win in the first election round.

Bernardic said his objective was to bring the SDP back to power.

He also announced he would run for Zagreb mayor. "In Zagreb we will show how to run Croatia," Bernardic said.
