Culture Minister receives Serbian Orthodox bishop of Slavonia

Culture Minister Zlatko Hasanbegovic on Monday received Serbian Orthodox Bishop of Slavonia and discussed the reconstruction of the episcopal palace in Pakrac that is to be financed by the Ministry.

Bishop Jovan was grateful for the support from the ministry and advised the minister of the works that have been conducted so far, the Ministry reported.

Talks focussed on the reconstruction of the episcopal library and treasury as well as setting conditions for the return of the library's valuable collection of books and church relics to Slavonia's episcopal see.

Minister Hasanbegovic expressed his support for future cultural projects that will be prepared in cooperation between the ministry and Slavonian episcopal see, the ministry's press release says.
