Croatian wines excel at prestigious wine competition in Germany

Croatian wines won four gold and 10 silver medals at the prestigious 19th Mundus Vini Grand International Wine Award in Germany, in competition with 4,300 wines from the world over, the Ilocki Podrumi winery said in a statement earlier this week.

Ilocki Podrumi's wines captured two golds, two silvers and a "Best of Show" medal.

A 150-member jury from 38 countries tasted and evaluated the competing wines, awarding 22 Grand Gold medals, 784 Gold medals, 915 Silver medals and 29 Best of Show medals, the statement said.

Croatia competed with 33 wines, winning 4 golds, 10 silvers and 2 Best of Show medals.
