Croatian President Grabar-Kitarovic visiting Marian shrine of Medjugorje

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Wednesday evening arrived in Medjugorje, southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, for a private three-day visit to that popular Marian shrine.

On Thursday morning, the Croatian president met with representatives of the Franciscan order in charge of the Medjugorje parish.

After that, she and a group of her friends visited the Podbrdo Hill near Medjugorje, where reportedly in 1981 the Virgin Mary appeared to six local children. Some of them continue to claim that they experience apparitions of the Virgin Mary.
