There will be no second round of consultations on support for the Prime Minister-designate at the Office of the President on Monday, Hina learned from the Office of the President which confirmed on Friday that President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic would receive Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Andrej Plenkovic at noon on Monday and give him the mandate to form a government since he had confirmed to her that he had a majority of signatures of support given to him by elected members of Parliament to form a government.
Hina was told that President Grabar-Kitarovic spoke on the telephone with Plenkovic on Friday and that he told her that he would come to her office on Monday with more than the minimum 76 signatures of support he needs to have in order to be given the mandate to form a government.
Given the latest developments, there will be no second round of consultations at the Office of the President on Monday, and the President will meet with Plenkovic, receive from him his list of signatures of support and give him the mandate to form the government, Grabar-Kitarovic's office said.
