Croatia posts steepest m-o-m decrease in industrial producer prices in April

In April 2016, Croatia recorded the steepest month-on-month decrease in industrial producer prices in the European Union, the EU's statistical office Eurostat said on Thursday.

Croatia's industrial producer prices in April 2016 decreased 1.5% from March, when they increased 1.1%, putting Croatia at the head of a group of member states with month-on-month decreases in industrial producer prices alongside Sweden (-1%), Belgium, Estonia and Italy (-0.9%).

The biggest increases were recorded in Ireland (+1.3%), Great Britain (+0.6%) and Denmark (+0.5%).

In the EU28, industrial producer prices in April 2016 decreased 0.2% from March, when they increased 0.4%.

Year on year, Croatia's industrial producer prices in April 2016 decreased 5.8%. All member states except Malta recorded decreases, with the Netherlands recording the steepest (-10.3%). In Malta they increased 1%.

In the EU28, industrial producer prices in April 2016 decreased 4.2% on the year.
