Croatia FM: Serbia should probe commanders iinvolved in aggression on Croatia

Croatia's Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miro Kovac has said that Serbia should launch investigations against Serbian military commanders engaged in the aggression against Croatia in the 1990s rather than announcing new investigations against Croatians who defended their homeland.

"It's high time Serbia should start thinking of the fact that there are Serbian forces' commanders who were engaged in the aggression against Croatia and Serbia should investigate them," the Croatian minister said in an interview with the NOVA TV commercial broadcaster on Wednesday evening.

I can absolutely understand Croatian veterans, I am concerned just as they are concerned particularly about statements of (Serbian) war crimes prosecutor who has announced some investigations against Croatian defenders, he said.

"This is impermissible," Kovac said adding that it was also scandalous.
