Croatia financially supporting reconstruction of Serb Orthodox monastery Krka

Croatian Culture Minister Zlatko Hasanbegovic on Wednesday received the prior of the Krka monastery of the Serb Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Nikodem Kosovic, for talks on the reconstruction of that monastery, according to a press release issued by the ministry.

The Krka monastery, a Serbian Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Archangel Michael, is located near the River Krka in central Dalmatia, Croatia. It is the best known monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Croatia and it is officially protected as part of the Krka National Park.

The dignitary informed the minister about the renovation of the monastery that boasts 700 exhibits and artefacts.

The Culture Ministry is financially supporting this project, and Archimandrite Nikodem invited the minister to visit the monastery and check the reconstruction.
