Confectioner Kras reports H1 increases in income and profit

Kras Group generated a consolidated income of HRK 458.6 million in the first half of 2016, up 1.3% over the same period in 2015, while its net profit increased by 12.3%, the Zagreb-based confectioner said on Wednesday.

Net profit was HRK 5.3 million and operating profit increased by HRK 3.3 million to HRK 12.7 million. Sales income reached HRK 450.3 million, with domestic sales income amounting to HRK 244.4 million and foreign sales income totalling HRK 205.9 million. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) was HRK 38.8 million and EBITDA margin was 8.5%.

Total consolidated expenditure was HRK 451.1 million, or 1.1% higher than in the first half of 2015. The export-to-sales ratio was 49.3%, up 7.1% compared with last year, the company said.
