Caretaker PM to resubmit Pusic's candidacy for U.N. secretary general position

Caretaker Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic will resubmit the candidacy of Vesna Pusic for the position of U.N. Secretary General, a source close to the government told Hina on Friday.

"The prime minister will resubmit the candidacy of the First Deputy Prime Minister for the position of the U.N. Secretary General, given that the decision about has already been made," the source told Hina.

Milanovic has already submitted Pusic's candidacy in early November, and the decision to submit it was adopted at the closed part of the government session in September 2015. The problem, however, arose following the U.N.'s decision to consider only those candidacy submitted after December 15. The media cited unofficial sources as saying that it has been recommended to Croatia to resubmit the application of its candidate.
