Butkovic confident all government projects will be carried out successfully

The Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butkovic, said on Sunday he was confident that all planned government projects would be carried out successfully.

"The situation now is difficult, but it could be worse if Zoran Milanovic and the Social Democratic Party returned to power, because no government can be worse than the one we defeated in the previous elections," Butkovic told the press in the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka.

"The present government is an experiment, but we have no alternative and must endure," he added.

Butkovic spoke to the press while attending an election convention of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County branch of his Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party.
