Beljak: All 5 HSS MPs will back Plenkovic as PM designate

Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) president Kreso Beljak said on Tuesday that the HSS Presidency had decided that the five HSS deputies would give their signatures for Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) president Andrej Plenkovic to be nominated prime minister designate, without asking anything for the HSS in return.

"That's perhaps a practice that hasn't been seen here, but we are an opposition party which is giving Mr. Plenkovic 100 days to try and stabilise the Croatian government, after which he will no longer have our support," Beljak told Hina.

He said the HSS Presidency had also unanimously decided to call intra-party elections and convene an election assembly for October 22.
