284,657 registered unemployed at end-November

At the end of November, 284,657 job-seekers were registered with the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ), which was 3.2 per cent more than in October and 8.9 per cent fewer than in November 2014, the HZZ said on Thursday.

November was the third month in a row to see a monthly increase in the number of the unemployed, after the end of the peak tourist season.

Daily figures from the HZZ show that this trend has continued in December. On Thursday afternoon there were 284,836 jobless people in the HZZ records, with 8,437 vacancies advertised.
