Petrokemija's income up 19 pct, loses reduced

In the first nine months of this year, Petrokemija, a Croatian chemical company which specialises in manufacturing agricultural fertilizers. generated an income of HRK 1.9 billion, up 18.8% from last year, said the company's financial report released on Wednesday, adding that Petrokemija also cut its loses.

The company's loses in the said period amounted to HRK 51.8 million, while in the first nine months of 2014, the loses amounted to 286.82 million.

Petrokemija's Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) totalled HRK 56.5 million, according to the financial report.

The production of agricultural fertilizers rose by 9% to 888,000 tonnes, of which 232,000 tonnes was for domestic sales and 620,000 for exports.
