Sarajevo: April Fool's joke rally in support of government

A group of young people organised a rally in Sarajevo on Friday as a sign of support to governing structures, welcoming their overall achievements and carrying banners with messages of support for the overall progress and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The informal group known as KarAKTer (Character) organised the rally in fact as an April Fool's joke.

One of the messages ridiculed the campaign to have arrested politician Fahrudin Radoncic released from custody, which is being conducted by media supporting Radoncic and his Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) party.

Other banners sent a clear message of what the group of young activists think of the government's (non)efforts on the country's path to the European Union after state officials submitted an application for EU candidate status.
